I am Danielle or Danileigh

I am a newborn, wedding and family portrait photographer located in Plainville, Connecticut. I am a wife and mom who found her way here later in life despite all the odds. For as long as I can remember, I have chased the dream to create in any way that I could find. I focused a lot of my high school and college education on art yet, I veered toward nursing when I became pregnant with my daughter to gain a sense of stability. I spent almost ten years in college actively taking classes part time while also working full time and, being a mom. Eventually, my son was born and my fate completely shifted. That shift led me to a degree in photography and hundreds of thousands of pictures shot through a few Nikon cameras.During college I was determined to make something of my degree and not fall victim to the stigma. So, I focused my attention on making connections, learning from others and emerging myself in the culture. This eventually opened up doors and I have found a tumbleweed effect of work slowly taking over my life ;) I have never felt more fulfilled! I feel like I am one of the lucky few who knows exactly who they are and gets to live that truth every moment of every day. It is amazing.Photography is more than just a career to me, it has solidified every fiber of my being. I have never felt a more truer version of myself. It is as if my soul has finally found its purpose. It shapes the way that I see the world and I feel blessed to be able to create art for the rest of my life. Even on the hardest and longest days, when I'm aching and haven't had time off in weeks. I still never forget how thankful I am to be able to use my cameras, light and knowledge, as my career.I am so very thankful. I am thankful to each one of you who sits (stands, kneels, dances and jumps ) in front of my cameras. I am thankful to be able to create with you. I am thankful to share with you and allow you the comfort to be able to share with me. I am thankful to be there. To be chosen by you. I love the energy I get to emulate in your presence. From the rowdy dance floors to the tiniest of baby coos. Even after 1,500 babies, I am still in awe of their beauty. I love your kids and your pets. I love your trinkets and your decor. I love it all. And my cherries on top are your reactions when you love what I have created for you just as much as I already do.Thank you. All of you. To those who have trusted in me over the years to capture your memories. To those who didn't doubt me when the reality looked nothing like the photo, LOL! Thank you to the sweetest moms who open their hearts to me in their weakest yet strongest of days. And to every single dad who shed his tears seeing their hours old baby scrolling across my tablet screen.A very special thank you to all of the brides, grooms, families and friends who I have laughed, cried and partied with! And to all of the businesses, small and large, that I have worked with along the way. I wouldn't be who I am today without the guidance and influence from every single one of you.From the rooftops, THANK YOU ALL.Thank you to my bff Jenn, I can't imagine a photo life without you in it ;)To my niece Caylee: I am exceptionally thankful to be able to teach, share and experience this world with you.And of course, the most specialist of all thank you's to my husband Mark. For being my rock always no matter what gets thrown at us or how hard this journey has been. THANK YOU for being ok when I need to be out living this life; that isn't easy to be married to. I never would have ended up here, if it wasn't for your support and love to chase this dream that so many didn't believe in. More about my background in photography: I am a Connecticut based photographer who travels most weekends all over New England chasing light, love and everything in between. Around nine years ago I decided to take my artistic background seriously by pursuing a degree in photography. I started working before I even graduated, I was and always will be, so excited to finally be turning my passion for art into a career. My experience ranges from events (close to 200 weddings) and also some corporate occasions, bridal showers, anniversary parties, bat mitzvahs); working with children (creating marketable images for NCCS) and photographing over 1,500 fresh 48 sessions for Bella Baby Photography.I recently opened a portrait studio in downtown Plainville. I am active on social media and post a little selfie update nearly every day, wherever I am working. I love to put my clients at ease and keep them relaxed throughout their experience with me. I am empathetic and intuitive about feelings and moods. If you're nervous, I will calm you. If you need a break, I will insist you do. I care more about your experience than I do about keeping a strict timeline. I am always confident that you will receive a beautiful gallery that reminds you of how good you felt in your moment, that to me is the most important thing you can provide to a couple.I work closely with my assistant and second shooter, Caylee. She is my niece and I continue to train her with all the knowledge that I have. I believe that in this industry we are always learning. There will never come a time where we "know it all" and that's what keeps things so exciting! We bring the vibes, we bring the smiles, and most of all we put our full hearts into your day, your moment, your memories.

~I am married to my high school sweetheart, Mark. We have been together for 24 years and married since 2008. We have two children together, Summer and Mason. And we also adopted our niece, Caylee.

~We also share our home with Bandit, Sheeba, Pumpkin and Luna; our pets. :)
